No Wonder I’m So Tired

I think that I am overworked. For a long time I’ve blamed it on old age, iron poor blood, lack of vitamins, air pollution, imitation sweetener, over weight, wax buildup, dry skin, allergies, high blood pressure, and a dozen other terrible things that might be wrong with me.

It ain’t none of those things. I am tired because I am overworked!

Say the population in this country is 200 million. 84 million are retired. That leaves 116 million to do the work. There are 75 million in school, which leaves 41 million to do the work. Of this total, there are 22 million employed by the government. That leaves 19 million to do the work.

4 million are in the armed forces, which leaves 15 million to do the work. 14,800,000 people work for State and City government and that leaves 200,000 to do the work. There are 188,000 in hospitals and 11,998 in prisons, so that leaves just two people to the work, you and me. And you’re sitting here reading this.

No wonder I am so damn tired!
